The star of the ending In Plain Sight has been cast in the untitled ABC comedy pilot from The New Adventures of Old Christine's Kari Lizer, TVGuide.com has confirmed.
As first reported by Entertainment Weekly, McCormack will play a powerful female executive who suddenly finds herself as a stay-at-home mom with teenagers and no clue what to do. In Plain Sight's final season kicks off on Friday, March 16 at 10/9c on USA.

FlashForward alum Brian O'Byrne will return to ABC for the Shonda Rhimes-produced drama pilot Gilded Lilys, TVGuide.com has confirmed. O'Byrne will play a wealthy heavy-hitter in New York society who tries to revive his family's fortunes by opening New York's first luxury hotel. Although his daughter is engaged to marry a wealthy family friend, she has fallen in love with a ship's servant.
O'Byrne received an Emmy nomination for his role in HBO's Mildred Pierce, and most recently appeared on the short-lived Prime Suspect. The casting was first reported by Deadline.
