leah messer miscarriage

Teen Mom Leah Messer Has A Miscarriage

leah messer miscarriage - Leah Messer suffers miscarriage, "Teen Mom 2" star Leah Messer, 19, has reportedly suffered a miscarriage. The news comes just weeks after she announced her pregnancy and new engagement. The reality star reportedly had cramps two weeks ago and felt something was wrong when the pain got worse.

Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer was hoping to find stability with her new fiancé and another child on the way, but unfortunately, that dream has been rattled by an unfortunate complication. The reality star’s soon to be husband announced she suffered a miscarriage.

Speaking to OK Magazine, Jeremy Calvert said the pair were “devastated” about what happened. She apparently battled severe cramps for a few weeks that ultimately culminated in the pregnancy being lost. He’s vowed to stand by her and continue to offer support as she recovers.

The miscarriage is just the latest event in a sequence of stressful happenings dating all the way back to Messer’s time in high school. That’s when she got pregnant with twins. Complications followed that required bed rest for the final trimester, and one of the girls, Ali, ended up with some development problems. She later married the girls’ father, but the union ended in divorce about six months later. Her recent relationship and pregnancy with Calvert was meant to right the ship a little bit. Hopefully their connection is strong enough to weather this awful event.

Pop Blend offers its deepest sympathies to both Messer and Calvert. Here’s to hoping this blow brings them closer together.

star jones return the view

star jones return the view

star jones return the view - Star Jones returning to 'The View' as guest, Former co-host of "The View" Star Jones, 49, will come back to the show as a guest to promote an awareness campaign. Jones left the show in 2006 after announcing on-air that she would not be returning. Since then, she's appeared on several other shows including "Celebrity Apprentice".

Here’s another sign that the end may be near: Star Jones will return to “The View” as a guest next month.
Jones had been an original co-host on the ABC daytime show. But she left dramatically in 2006, mightily annoying Barbara Walters.

Jones, who appears regularly on NBC’s “Today” these days, will be back Feb. 22 on “The View” to promote awareness of heart disease among women. She will talk about her work with the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women movement. Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women.

“The View” airs at 11 a.m. weekdays on WFTV-Channel 9.

Jones had open-heart surgery in 2010. Walters also had open-heart surgery that same year.

In another bid to draw attention to the fight against heart disease, the “View” hosts will wear red on Feb. 3. Their wardrobe will salute National Wear Red Day.

Jones’ return will be closely watched because she generated a lot of drama at “The View.” It should be interesting to see how Jones and Whoopi Goldberg interact.

In 2009, Walters raved over Jones’ appearance on “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” Walters praised Jones’ look and honesty. “We had very happy years with her,” Walters said.

In 2009, I wrote after watching that “View”: “Things turned frosty when Jones departed — and the public learned things hadn’t been so happy. So it was fun to see that Joy Behar was being honest. Behar reminded everyone that the ‘View’ crew had to lie to cover up for Jones’ gastric-bypass surgery. ‘It was 10 years with the girl, we had our ups and downs

Wikileaks TV Show

Wikileaks TV Show
Wikileaks TV Show - WikiLeaks launching TV show? Julian Assange, founder of the controversial website WikiLeaks, announced plans to start his own television series. The show is said to feature in-depth conversations with people from all over the world. It's slated to debut this March in 10 weekly 30-minute episodes. No word on which station will carry the show.
Julian Assange, the founder of the controversial whistle-blowing website WikiLeaks, on Tuesday announced he will be hosting a series of TV specials to interview political figures about ‘the world tomorrow’.
WikiLeaks said in a statement that the series. produced by Quick Roll Productions, will begin airing in mid-March in ten weekly half-hour episodes. It said ‘initial licensing commitments’ cover more than 600 million viewers across cable, satellite and terrestrial broadcast networks but gave no other details. It also asked broadcasters to contact them to license the series.
“Through this series I will explore the possibilities for our future in conversations with those who are shaping it,” Assange said in the statement. “Are we heading towards utopia, or dystopia and how we can set our paths? This is an exciting opportunity to discuss the vision of my guests in a new style of show that examines their philosophies and struggles in a deeper and clearer way than has been done before.”
WikiLeaks said Assange will draw together ‘controversial voices’ from across the political spectrum to hear their views on the world tomorrow and their ideas on how to secure a brighter future. The website did not say which guests Assange plans to interview on his TV show.
Assange is currently fighting extradition from Britain to Sweden where he faces allegations of sexual molestation, unlawful coercion and rape. A London court dismissed Assange’s appeal in November 2011 and he is expected to appeal the ruling in the United Kingdom’s highest court next month.
The accusations are unrelated to Assange’s work for the whistle-blowing website WikiLeaks which brought diplomatic earthquakes to the United States when it began releasing classified documents it had obtained. Assange has claimed the cases have been politically-linked, arguing that the sexual encounters with the two women in Sweden were consensual.

Wikileaks’ first big scoop was on April 5, 2010, when it released a classified video which showed a 2007 U.S. helicopter attack in Iraq which left several civilians killed, including two unarmed Reuters journalists. Assange previously said he had been told to expect ‘dirty tricks’ from the Pentagon, including ‘sex traps’ to ruin his reputation.

HBO renews Enlightened

HBO renews Enlightened

HBO renews Enlightened. HBO still 'Enlightened', HBO has renewed "Enlightened," a show about a self-destructive executive trying to rebuild her life. Other shows, including "Hung," "Bored to Death" and "How to Make It in America," weren't as fortunate.
American cable network HBO is renewing its Golden Globes-nominated freshman series Enlightened, but is axing three other series.

Hung and Bored to Death will not return for a fourth season, nor will How to Make it in America be back for a third cycle, the network said on Tuesday.

Enlightened, which ended its first season earlier this month, last week earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Comedy or Musical Series, as well as a nomination for its star, Laura Dern. On the show, Dern plays an unstable career woman who wants to be a social activist.

HBO will premiere six new series in 2012. They include Luck, an untitled drama series created by Aaron Sorkin, Veep, Girls, Life's Too Short and Angry Boys, which debuts on New Year's Day.

X Factor host axed?

X Factor host axed?

'X Factor' host axed? Steve Jones, host of "The X Factor," Steve Jones Set To Be Axed From X Factor USA

Host Will Not Have His Contract Renewed For Next Season...reportedly won't return next season. The former Welsh model, who some speculate is dating one of the show's judges, reportedly is "devastated" by the prospect. Steve Jones will reportedly not have his X Factor USA contract extended after the audience failed to warm to him and his style.
Former T4 host Jones landed the plum role ahead of the UK host Dermot O'Leary and survived the axe when it fell on Cheryl Cole in the early days of this years series. However, as sources claim, this weeks Final will be Jones' last appearance on the show.
"Steve keeps saying that living in LA is a dream come true," a source told The Mirror. "He loves the weather and the women, and he loves working on X Factor – it’s just a shame that the US public has not warmed to him."

Adding: "He got terrible reviews from critics when he started and things haven’t got better."

"There have been mistakes and he just doesn’t seem to have the knack for dealing with contestants. The executives at Fox have already decided not to renew his contract and so, short of a miracle happening, it is pretty much a done deal that he will not take part next season."
Steve Jones was linked to show judge Nicole Scherzinger following her split from Lewis Hamilton earlier this year.

russell simmons all american muslim, Simmons wants ads on Muslim show. All-American Muslim , Russell Simmons All-American Muslim Ad Space , Russell Simmons Lowe's , Entertainment NewsHip-hop mogul Russell Simmons, 54, tweeted that he wants to buy ad space on the new reality TV show “All-American Muslim”. Simmons acted in response to home improvement retailer Lowe’s pulling its ads from the show. Simmons and another celebrity are also pushing for a boycott of Lowe's. After Lowes created some open ad time, Russell Simmons filled it in a high profile way.

The music legend and entrepreneur tweeted on Monday that he bought all the remaining ad space on "All-American Muslim," the TLC reality show that has been at the center of a recent media buy controversy.

"Just purchased remaining spots for #allamericanmuslim for next week," he wrote. "The show is now sold out! keep your money @lowes and we will keep ours."

Corporations such as Lowe's have pulled their ads from the show, under pressure from conservative protests led by the Florida Family Association. Simmons has called for a boycott of Lowe's, pushing a petition via Twitter.

Simmons later said that corporations want their longterm ad space, making it difficult for him to purchase all that he wanted. In the space, he'll push his Visa Rush Card.

This isn't the first time Simmons has put his substantial wealth towards public activist causes; in November, he offered to pay for the cleanup of Zuccotti Park, in support of the Occupy Wall Street movement.

James blames Bullock

James blames Bullock

James blames Bullock, "American Chopper" star Jesse James Blames Ego for Hurting Sandra Bullock, Will Never Cheat on New Love Jesse James says he lost himself in his marriage to A-lister Sandra Bullock. James and Bullock split up after her Oscar win amid allegations of infidelity.
The TV mechanic Jesse James' marriage to "The Blind Side" star Sandra Bullock fell apart in March 2010 when his infidelities were exposed in a U.S. tabloid, just days after she thanked him for "having her back" during her Best Actress Oscar acceptance speech.

James, who is now set to wed celebrity tattoo artist Kat Von D, accepts he is "100 per cent to blame" for the heartbreaking betrayal, but he's adamant his new wife-to-be will never have to worry about his infidelities.

He tells CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight, "I'm 100 per cent to blame, I take full accountability for my actions, you know, no one forced me to do what I did."

"She (Sandra Bullock) told me before that she forgives me... but there's probably people now that I'm closer to than I ever was to her."

When asked if he was referring to his current fiancee Von D, he replies, "I think so. I think I took a look at the things I never wanted to look at before. With Kat, I have a partner and we're connected on a higher level."

And James believes he treated Bullock badly because his ego had become so inflated after landing a huge movie star as a wife.

He adds, "That's what I need to ask, was it me trying to be a bigshot, was it just my ego? Like, 'I'm Jesse James, I'm a bad motherf**ker and I can have a movie star for a wife.' I think a lot of that was, it was my ego and that's why I hurt her and why I didn't just leave the relationship when I should have, because my ego said I need this wife so I'm cool or so people like me or whatever. The bad recipe for anything - I think you should follow your heart and what's right for you and like Kat, we were friends for a long time, and had mutual respect, and I think that was the problem, I don't think me and Sandy were ever really friends. We met and went straight into marriage and that was that."

'Gay' penguins get chick

'Gay' penguins get chick

'Gay' penguins get chick. A pair of "gay" penguins in a Chinese zoo have been given a chick to raise. Zookeepers say they are helping out another penguin that had twins.
The twins hatched at the Harbin Polar Land in northern China, and to give both babies the best chance in life the aquarium decided to give one of the twins to another set of parents.
The 'gay' penguin couple are notorious in the aquarium's penguin community and they have been caught many a time trying to steal eggs during the hatching season.
Penguin males have a natural instinct for parenting, in the wild the male penguins share the duty of incubating the un-hatched eggs with the female.
Aquarium staff are hoping that the Chinese pair should be able to look after the new chick without too much of a problem.
In other 'gay' penguin news it was revealed that the two African penguins at Toronto Zoo that are to be separated will be reunited with each other in the spring.
The zoo caused an outcry when it announced that it was to separate 'gay' penguins Buddy and Pedro in order to preserve the endangered species.
But the zoo has revealed that the couple are to be united in spring after they have attempted to mate them with females in the zoo's colony.

World War II tips in 'Starvation Recipes'

World War II tips in 'Starvation Recipes'

World War II tips in 'Starvation Recipes'--World War II tips in 'Starvation Recipes', Historian and teacher Eleni Nikolaidou turned to one set of Greeks – the survivors of the Occupation in World War II to teach another generation how to live with less.

"Starvation Recipes" is the result. It's the ultimate belt-tightening handbook: No Meat? Push an eggplant through the grinder instead. Chew your food long enough for your stomach to feel full. And don't forget to sweep crumbs off your table and into a jar. These are some of the tips Greeks used to survive the World War II occupation that have been collected in "Starvation Recipes" — a cookbook that has become a surprise hit as millions of Greeks struggle to make ends meet in a new era of hardship brought on by economic crisis.
In the grim years of the occupation, starving Athenians invented new ways to stay alive, helped by daily advice columns in the capital's newspapers known as "survival guides."
Historian and high school teacher Eleni Nikolaidou spent 18 months compiling recipes and survival tips — combing through more than 6,000 scanned newspaper clippings from the 1941-44 Nazi rule to produce her book. "Starvation Recipes" was released this year and is on its second print run.
"It was all about getting by with very little," said Nikolaidou, sitting at her Athens home, with books everywhere stacked to the ceiling.
Nikolaidou stumbled onto the subject two years ago while working on a masters degree on Greece's wartime economy.
"I read an article from the front page of a newspaper, 'How to collect crumbs' — a little each day so that you could have a cupful of crumbs by the end of the week, something extra to survive. It really struck me."
She was drawn in by the details: Horseshoes used to reinforce dilapidated footwear, baked sand to preserve lemons, and stray cats and dogs hunted on Athens streets for food.
"People would come up with new ways to cheat their stomachs: There were starters designed to cut your appetite. And people were advised to chew their food very, very slowly, so it felt as though they were eating more," Nikolaidou said.
"There was no sugar available, so at weddings, the sugared almonds handed out were black. Raisin pulp was used as the sweetener."
Coffee shops had no coffee, so they served a brew made out of ground chickpeas. Newspaper articles at the time encouraged Athenians to make the best of it.
"The new coffee can be enjoyed just as much as a prewar coffee, because people visit the coffee shop for more than just the coffee," one newspaper wrote.
Publisher Oxigono says "Starvation Recipes" has sold about 2,000 copies — considered an early success despite the modest number, helped by Nikolaidou's appearance on television, newspaper articles and Internet buzz. A third print run is planned this month.
After decades of overspending, Greece was forced from late 2009 to grapple with its ruined finances by imposing harsh taxes and surviving on rescue loans from the IMF and European Union.
The result means 9 out of 10 Greeks are changing their food-shopping habits, according to a September survey by the consumer organization KEPKA: People are now eating out less, cutting back on meat and any extras, and swapping quality food brands for cheaper substitutes.
The growing demand for affordable meals has been met by magazines and a new batch of low-budget cookbooks, such as "The Cooking Economy" and "Family meals for €5 — 110 recipes for the financial crisis."
But the dire wartime hardship has little in common with the current crisis. Even as the number of vacant stores and homeless grow by the day, Athens' coffee shops are busy and streets filled with new cars.
During the occupation, dead bodies were collected off the street each morning, the hills were stripped bare of wild greens, and families had to keep round-the-clock guard of their backyard chicken coops.
Raisins, olives, wild greens, and rationed bread became the nation's staples against mass starvation that claimed an estimated 300,000 lives.
But for Nikolaidou, worrying signs of sudden poverty have arrived in this crisis, too.
"There are children who go to school without enough to eat," she said. "The circumstances were of course much more extreme. But there are people, today, who open up their cupboards, and see little more than a bag of flour, and think — 'what can I do with that?'"
Opting for cheap processed foods is the biggest mistake budget-conscious consumers can make, says chef F.T. Bletsas, the youthful host of the Greek TV show "Mama's Cooking."
"Most people spend more than they need to, and still eat badly," says Bletsas, who runs the English-language website www.cookingeconomy.com spun out of a 2010 book on frugal dining.
Bletsas, 31, honed his thrift techniques while living in Britain as an engineering student, and later adapted his modest menus to Greece's renowned Mediterranean diet.
His top picks for strapped shoppers include olive oil, tinned sardines, lentils, and good quality meat used sparingly.
He has simple advice for Greeks laboring under the crisis.
"Never, ever throw anything away: You can preserving it, freeze, cook it, reuse it, or give it to someone who needs it more than you."
